1. Randle GH, Gbaja Street (Mother & Child Center) – Paediatrics and Obstetrics & Gynaecology postings.

2. Randle GH, Randle Avenue – Majorly Dental house officers and A&E weekend calls. Also houses ophthalmology clinics and administrative offices. (Currently under reconstruction.)

3. Femi Gbajabiamila GH (also called Randle GH), Iyun – Surgery and Internal Medicine postings.

📍 Distance:

• Gbaja → Randle Avenue: ~5 minutes drive

• Gbaja / Randle Avenue → Iyun: ~15 minutes drive

🚗 Accessibility

• Easy access from Ojuelegba to Gbaja Street or Randle Avenue via keke.

• To get to Iyun, stop at Stadium Hotel (a popular landmark after National Stadium) and take keke from there.

🏠 Accommodation

📍 Location: 43 Mosholashi Street, Iponri Community

• ~5 mins drive to Iyun (~₦400 to & fro)

• ~15 mins drive to Gbaja / Randle Avenue (~₦800 to & fro)

Capacity: 2 separate flats for males & females, accommodating 16 house officers total
Arrangement: 1 HO per room

• Each flat originally has 2 bedrooms + large parlour (parlour partitioned into 2 additional rooms)

• Once called, you are essentially confirmed

Orientation

• No formal general orientation yet (training started Jan 2025)

• New HOs are taken around the 3 centers before resumption

• Departmental onboarding is done on arrival

Responsibilities

• Calls, ward rounds & post-round mop-ups

• Clerking & admitting patients

• Assist surgeries & perform numerous CS in O&G under supervision

• Male catheterization by HOs; nurses handle female catheterization

• HOs do not administer IV/IM drugs

• Frequent departmental presentations (usually done by HOs)

Staff & Colleagues

• Generally friendly environment

• You will learn if you are proactive

• Some MOs may delegate heavily, so be prepared
