Doclumina was created to solve one of the biggest challenges of housemanship in Nigeria for MBBS and BDS graduates — the lack of credible, centralized information following the introduction of the MDCN housemanship portal (housemanship.mdcn.gov.ng).
Before the inception of theyhaveleftyoubehind.net in 2022 (now Doclumina.org), housemanship information existed mainly in scattered “mushroom” groups, filled with inconsistent and unreliable details. We came in with tenacity, effort, and a clear willingness to change that narrative.
Center by center, we reviewed over 62 housemanship centers across Nigeria — a feat that had never been done before. We compiled salary structures from most centers nationwide, created step-by-step videos on how to use the MDCN portal, and developed the Housemanship Blueprint, which has proven extremely helpful to newly graduated doctors.
Today, a significant portion of housemanship information circulating online is copied directly from our platforms.
We are currently the most highly ranked website on Google for housemanship information in Nigeria.
As expected with impact and visibility, many groups, Telegram bots, and platforms have attempted to mimic what we do. Please note clearly: they do not represent Doclumina in any way and cannot replace us.
Recent allegations have revealed that a few members, acting out of personal frustration, have gone as far as taking screenshots and pushing false narratives to undermine our work. While unfortunate, we understand that it is impossible to please everyone. If you find that our community does not align with you, we fully encourage you to exit freely.
